I set some duck eggs last Friday and so they are one week today. I looked at them today, with the candler and I don't see anything. Should I see anything yet? There are 4 chicken eggs in there also and they are veining.

well remember that ducks need 28 days to hatch and chickens only need 21, so have a little hope, but check again in about another week. Ducks are a bit harder. My mom did so so with hers, but I never did. I used a broody instead when at all possible. Mom use to soak hers in warm water ever few days and laugh when they would move in the water. She would not do that when it was getting near to hatching day, however. She felt they needed extra humidity. I don't know if she studied it or what, but she did good. Like I said I never did very well. I plan on doing it in February or March again, but I will do some serious studying before incubating again.

well, they must have shown any vein, perhaps you can wait 3 more days for real sure and grab out that duck eggs since they are infertile for not showing any vein even till 10 days.
