You can run to Lowes and get a hot water thermostat and make it work. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Utilitech-Water-Heater-Thermostat/3693208

I appeciate your help im glad i know how to do that now. Im guessing the apc computer backup didnt have enough continous power to regulate or maybe it was the problem because it wont allow the thermostat to regulate it just supplies continuous power. Its an old lil giant incubator without the digital thermostat but in my first hatch the backup worked normal no problems but now the powers been out a few times since. For some reason when its plugged in through the back up and the powers on all is fine but when its only the backup suppliying power it wont regulate. The MacGyver thermostat did work. But after getting a new thermostat for it i discovered it did the same thing. Its funny cause like i said. Functioned normal the first time i used it but since just backup power through that thing wont work right i guess. Which sucks for me in lightning and storm capitol of the world here in florida. Unfortunately i think the short time the temp spiked messed up my incubation because out of 48 eggs i only have one trying to hatch and hes on his 2nd day its day 28 hatching guinea fowl. so i think theres a problem. Hes the only one that even pipped this time. Thanks for the help though. Now i will be looking up maybe how to help a stuck chick.
