HELP! I need someone who knows Thermostat wiring!

I will edit my post. Keep in mind though that #5 goes to the GOLD screw and the SILVER screw goes to #2. This will de-energize the socket/filiment when the thermostat is open(bulb off).

This is what I originally posted in #8, however looking at the diagram closely lugs 5 and 6 are a switched loop. I re_edited my post after ray2310 confirmed my doubt. I guess the thermostat manufacturer wanted to save a nickel by not having a passthrough neutral.
