HELP!!! i need to do something!

Ok, my americauna can jump our 6 foot fence so i dont know what to do. My dad wont let me put up chicken wire and ive herd that you can clip chickens wings just like parakeets, has anyone done this before? How do u do it? will they still be able to get on like their roost?

Yes, you can clip the wing, but only ONE wing. If you clip both, they will still fly. I have the instructions in my book. But probably somebody on here can explain it better.

Hold the bird down. Spread it's wings. Clip the long flying feathers.
Some people do just one side. I would clip a few on each side so
it limits her flight, not completely stops it.

Feathers are like our hair or fingernails. It doesn't hurt them but they
don't like it either. If you cut too close to the base you may get a little
blood. I like to leave 3/4 of an inch.

If you do happen to make it bleed, use cornflour or regular flour to help stop it.

Flour,Suger,bar of Soap work good for when they start to bleed form a deep clip.
