Help I need to hand feed a goose that will not eat grain on his own

A juvenile snow goose was found feeding with my chickens. It is not very wild making me believe that he has been around humans. No injuries found on it. eats grass like crazy refuses grain. I am thinking of making a corn paste ad feeding him through a syringe to get it started on grain. It will not fly I let it out every day and catch it every night. My husband says it is to young to make the flight this year. I want to keep him alive to make the flight next year but first I need it to eat. any help would be greatly accepted.

Remember that snow goose? Well he is fat happy and sassy!!!!! An adult male just hanging with the other guys watching over 5 hens on their nests. funny to watch him order around the big grey geese. Fisty bugger. Thanks for the help!!!!
