So I am new to the whole Chicken thing but so far it has been an experience, some good and some bad. The good part is I love what they bring to the house and family as well as look forward to having eggs in the near future. The bad is loosing one to my puppy who seemed to think that they are toys and not part of the family too. The other thing is that I have become attached to them and would hate to loose another knowing that one of them might be a Rooster.

I live in an HOA and chickens are not allowed but horses and ponies are. I have a very large lot (1 acre) so space is not an issue it is just that this is a rule that was setup in the early 80's but rules were meant to be broken as I always have lived by for the most part. My neighbors are very nice and I have let them all know and I really only have one neighbor that is next to me since I live on a corner lot.

My biggest problem is that I think that I might have a Rooster. Everything I have read about Easter Eggers is that usually if it is Balck and White it is probably a Rooster. While I have grown quite attached to this particular chicken I would rather know now and give him to a local ranch than have to do it later when he is much bigger and more beautiful too. If anyone out there is skilled enough to take a look at my photos and give me their opinions on whether or not this is a Roo, I would be grateful.

Thanks much,
