Help, I ride crooked!

The main thing is to just be aware of it and keep working on it.

Most people are crooked on the horse in some way, and they do it for so long that being crooked starts to feel NORMAL. Once an instructor shows you how you're crooked and how to feel it, then you can just keep aware of it and keep correcting it.

Since your right side is contracted, you can occasionally lift your right arm up and reach way up with it, then try to retain that straighter posture when you put your arm back in riding position.

Hi , Maye reminded me about posting, LOL

We had a nice ride today. I just focused on sitting straight and equal, and my hands even and above the horn. I just worked at a walk, and I kept reminding myself to sit straight, did some stretches with my arm up. I felt much more balanced. But I'll just practice at a walk right now. I could feel when my right stirrup was getting lighter, so I corrected. So, I may go out there again tomorrow. And practice sitting straight and hands equal, and practice not to tense up elsewhere!
