We're building a new shed in our backyard and there were some screws left over from our old one that we tore down, and i guess we missed a couple because i was watching my one chicken playing with something, and it kinda looked like one of the 1/4 inch metal screws from the old shed. before i could get it away from her she ate it and im freaking out!!! she seems fine so far but i dont know if i should call the vet or what? i dont want it to hurt her and shes our pet, id never forgive myself if she died because i wasnt paying close enough attention to what she was doing! please help! i dont know what to do!

idk..hope someone eles does..
My thoughts what can you really do at this point?
Sometimes you just have to hope for the best.

I would just keep an eye on her. Many chickens eat shiny objects such as metal or glass. Hardware disease is a name given to eating metal. I keep a coffee can with a lid near my coop door to put glass or other things that come up through the ground. Chickens will eat strings and just about anything that is dropped on the ground. Hopefully the screw will not cause a problem. Many people find all kinds of things in their chickens' gizzards after butchering.

Hi

Could you tell me what you did to your chicken?
How she was behaving?
Whats up with her today?
I would like to know because my chick has eaten a pin now and it would help so much if you could tell me what you did and stuff

Thank you from me and sid (he ate the pin)
