I am sorry.Well guess what. I had a chicken who had a weird shaped neck and the vet told us it would die. Sure enough it died but weirdly. It was ok one day and the next day its legs wouldnt respond and shed just lay down on one side and make movements like it was riding a bicycle on its side. It got worse and it died. We asked the vet and he said it was because her nervous system was bad. And told us it wasnt a sickness. With this other chicken, licorice yesterday she sort of waddled and walked drunkly. Today shes just on her side moving her legs like if shes riding a bicycle. I think she has the same sickness that the chicken that died. That means the vet misdiagnosed the first one. Shes just laying down on her side w erratic leg movements and when she wants to get up she waddles and keeps falling to her side![]()
Well they are 5 months old i dont know the breed they are just yellowish orangish chickens w a weird crest that has like many tiny spikes. Their mom lays green eggs. I give them corn w a variety of other seeds or we give them sometimes bread or tortillasMay I ask the age of your flock, the breed and what exact foods you feed them?
I tpok her to the vet. Apparently she has newcastle and will die because there is no cureIf you aren't dealing with Merek's disease then are are probably dealing with nutrition deficiencies.
