she keeps making this honking sneezing sound and twisting her neck really weird. the neck thing has been going on for a week or to but the noise started today i just cleaned the coop i dont no if that has anything to do with the weird noise.

Is she in a dusty area? She could be sensitive, though i think she has a respitory disease.

I would go to your feedstore and buy some tylan 50.

I agree with usschicago1, also, maybe check her beak and throat....She may be choking on something like a long pieceof grass or something?

Keep an eye on her though!

How old is the chick? I am not an expert but the twisted neck could be vitamin deficit. Get some multivitamins to add to the diet and check older posts to find which vitamin is needed in a larger quantity. If the chick is not eating well try scrambled or boiled egg, vitamins and water. I am not sure if the noise is respiratory but most likely. What are you using for bedding? If you are using cedar or other hardwood then change it immediately as that is toxic and will worsen the problem (possibly the cause of lung issue). Aspen is best for young chicks bedding as it has no odor or toxins but pine may be used if you can't get the Aspen. Keep the little one warm and dry too. I hope a more experienced person answers your post

My EE did the same thing several months ago. It scared me to death, I expected her to be dead in the am. I put her in our "hospital" box. She was making a ton of noise with every breath. It lasted from like 3pm to 2am. Then finally she stopped. I kept her separate for 2 days. Then added her back to general population. To this day she is perfectly fine. Don't have a clue why she was doing it.
