HELP...I think this might not be my first egg...

There on layer, and I do have a container of OS as well.

How long have they been on layer feed?
How old are they, in weeks?
How thick was the shell on the egg you caught them eating/pecking?

Layer, 2 weeks.
Between 19 and 21 weeks. The RIR that layed is 21w.
Shell was thicker than store eggs.

It's raining this morning, so no work.

So, yesterday afternoon and this morning I gave the gals a small can of tuna.
No egg as of noon. Sun came out so I hooked up to the mowers/trailer to the truck, and went to work.

Just got home, and decided to check on the gals....

Holy s$!t..... in the corner of the coop is a egg... a whole, complete egg....

So.....next question. Should I take a milk crateand make a quick nest box and put it in that corner of the coop. Maybe adda fake eqq or two??

You could, they may or may not use it but you won't know until you try.

Do you have no other nests?
Put fake eggs in those.
