Help! I want to make sure I'm ready...

This will be my first time hatching chicks. I have 10 light Sussex eggs arriving on Tuesday. I set up my LG incubator and ran it for 8 hours with a steady 99.5 temp..I'm not sure if/how to manage the humidity. Do I need to add another gauge? It just has a water reservoir. I am already feeling very protective of these chicks? Plus, my 7 yr old will be heartbroken if they don't make it...

I don't have the LG incubator but, I spent a good part of the day reading a thread on here regarding problems people were having with the LG. You should try to find that and read it!! A lot of people had problems with it and have figured out how to work around it with some great ideas. One of the posters was CMOM. So if you have any trouble finding the post, look her up and you can probably find it. It sounds like a must read if you have a Little Giant. Good luck with your hatch!
