Our golden-colored hen’s most distinguishing feature is her blue ears and purple comb and wattles. Atop her head is a tuft of hair-like feathers. She has a small buttercup comb. Her shanks are silvery gray. And she seems to be broody. Her eggs are small and white.
The brown hen has a short pea or rose comb type. She has a red comb and wattles. Ears are white with a very light tint of blue. She also has a little tuft it seems. She also has short legs. Her shanks are grayish black. The eggs are small-to-medium sized and light brown.
