The black ones whosever feathers shine greenish blue?Old English or I suspect American Game that is my best guess.
I was reading online, that these chickens are used for cockfighting and that the hens are not good layers as well as that they are usually kept for ornamental, I wanted to have egg layers, these guys seems to not be it. I do not want these guys to fight to death. Most of my black birds do have a green hue over their blacks. I'm no expert in either OEGB as I have only ever had one. She is more red in the plumage than yours which is why my money is on American Game.
You know what my problem is, I have like a .2 acre free space for them to roam, I am in the city and this might be a problem, they are about 4 month olds, therefore I think I might end up sacrificing them, they are not the only ones, I have a total of 4 roosters and 2 hens, plus 5 more smaller roos that are young 6 weeks approximately.Well If you have enough room and cover options for the cocks you wont have problems. They are a very common breed and I have neighbors running 3 or more roosters on .5-.8 acre lots. Sure there is a bit of squabbling but they are an excellent choice for free ranging birds. If I didn't have Silkies in my flock I would have very little need for any chicken feed. As it is I only go through 25-30lbs of feed monthly.
