We finally got settled into our acreage (yay!!) and I’m working on my barn, getting it ready for these babes.
These are my 9 girls. Can you help identify their breed? They’re about 2 1/2 - 3 weeks old!
I’ve learned SO much on this forum, so thankful for everyone here!

Hmm I'm guessing that #1 is a Gold Laced Polish, #6 and #7 look like Easter Eggers or Ameraucanas, and #9 looks like a Silver Laced Polish, but I don't know what the rest are. Hope this helps!

I agree with @DontChickenOut14 on #1 & #9. I don't know much about Easter Eggers, so I can't vouch for 6 & 7, but it looks likely. #4 could be an Australorp, but the dark legs don't really fit. Either that, or it's a penguin ... can it swim? Actually, check the bottoms of its' feet (the soft, ball part.) If they're pink, it's probably a black 'lorp. If they're yellow, you may have a Jersey Giant. Is that chick bigger than the others? My BJG was supposed to be a lorp, but was a mooselet by the time she was three weeks old. She's now almost a year, and goes almost 14 pounds. She's gorgeous - and about the sweetest-natured bird I've ever met!

Ahhh, thank you so much for the suggestions! I'm LOVING being a chicken mama, it's just so great! I'm actually looking at getting an Ayam Cemani here soon! And a couple deathlayers. I'll keep you all updated, should be easier to tell in the coming weeks what I've got! :)

1 and 9 are def, Polish. My baby girl 9 isn't flourishing like number 1. She hasn't grown much since we got her, and the others are growing well. 4 I think is maybe a jersey giant, she's HUGE! @MROO, Penguin would've been a perfect name for her! We settled on Black Betty. I do think that 6 and 7 are EE.

I'm super curious about 2 and 5. They have the same temperament, and always run to me when I come out to the brooder. 5 is so so pretty, black and white spots!
