My father bought these beautiful chickens from a person that didn't speak any English. Both he and I are wondering what breed they are? Please help noob chicken lover identify them. Thanks.

Just had to say that is the longest legs I've seen on a chicken. Beautiful..Sorry have no idea of the breed. You will get some experienced answers soon.

I think the one in the back is a Sumatra http://feathersite.com/Poultry/CGP/Sumatra/BRKSumatras.html

And the other one looks like maybe a Modern Game--its the only one that looks like that (that I can think of but I am no expert) that has a straight comb. http://feathersite.com/Poultry/Games/Mods/BRKModerns.html

Maybe someone with more experience can confirm.

The black one looks like an Australorp pullet (edited to add, or a Sumatra pullet! The previous poster made a good point). The rooster seems to have some Malay in him, and has a lovely birchen pattern. Hopefully someone can identify him better!

Malays don't have a straight comb, so thats why I was thinking Modern Game. I honestly can't tell the difference beween Asils, Shamos, Malay and the other Oriental Games. They are really neat looking birds, very fierce and prehistoric-looking!
