So would you say not a Buff Orpington? Which is what I always thought she was?

Generally the color isn't right. Buff Orpingtons are more buff colored (yellowish, like light tan). Here a picture:

OP's girl's butt looks like a buff Brahman hen. Maybe that and marans? How would those genetics work? Could you get a bird like that? Maybe if you did it as a project? Or accidentally just kept breeding from your own stock?
