Help identifying a duckling (I think)?

So, I just found this little guy walking around my culdesac, looking ng exhausted, so I put on some gloves and gave him a box and some water. I'm about to go out and get him some food. Any ideas as to what kind of duck this is? Or if it's even a duck? Much appreciation for any answers!

I'm going to guess a mallard...

Either a mallard or rouen duckling...possibly a magpie but I doubt it.

Mallard? His facial markings are different from the Mallards I've seen…

Those markings are no mallard ive seen. Im gonna say maybee ancona, magpie, or a mallardX

It's not a rouen because there would be 2 stripes by the eyes, but a baby mallard does not look like that either. Mallards have one stripe. It may be a cross breed. Magpie and ancona ducks usually have spots not stripes. It has a little more yellow than a rouen or mallard. You May have to wait until it is older to really identify it.
