Hello, We purchased three chicks from a local chicken specific store. They were all purchased as pullet’s, but one of them is starting to make us wonder if she’s a rooster with the longer curling tail.

They’re all 12 weeks old now, and this one is the obvious leader of the flock.

Leaning towards boy here... but not sure. It looks like a fairly big red comb for a pea comb and a lot of red on the wings.

Nice colors on the bird!

Can you get good photo's of the saddle and hackle feathers? They will be pointed if it's a boy.
They look pretty rounded to me, no?

It’s a good looking bird. And she’s got a lot of red in general so it was hard to consider the red on the wings for me.

And that comb seems big? It’s jut a bit bigger than the other two and it almost seems lighter in color as well. I’ll keep posted on what it turns out to be.

I’ve stared at a couple of my EEs for weeks trying to determine the sex. Some can be rather difficult to sex.
I can’t wait to see the final result of your EE.
