I have two chicks approx. 2 months old. Can anyone verify sex? They are more than likely an India Blue/Black Shoulder cross. There also may be some pied genetics. Legg's Genetics indicate IB/BS cross produces all IB. But one chick is much lighter than the other. I have only had black shoulder, so know nothing about the Indie Blue color pattern. The other chick is much darker, and possibly a male? Both seem to have some very light patches so could be some pied coloring?

IB hen and possible Cameo hen.

If parents are IB and IB or IB and BS, is it possible to have a cameo?
If the cock is split to a sex-linked color some of the hen chicks will be that color. Do you see any color on the back of the neck in the sunlight? If so what colors?

The darker chick looks like it may have some green/blue on the neck.
The dark one is just IB, I am asking if there is any color on the back of the Cameo. Cameo will not have any blue or green on the back of the neck.
