Help identifying breeds

Any idea what breed this guy is. He was given to us and is the absolute best rooster I've ever encountered. I hatched some babies from him and I'm trying to figure out what I may have.

This gal I believe is crossed with the above rooster and a golden comet. Does that make her a mutt or a sexlink?

I would assume that your boy was the result of an RIR over a sexlink hen. That would give two gold genes and account for the red colouration that sexlink roosters lack. (they're yellow/sort of off-white) and also for the white tail.

So yes, the hen would be a mutt. (EDT: the hen carries gold, the rooster carries gold, all of the chicks are going to be gold. Not sexlinked.)

That's all just a guess, though.

Crossbred, possibly a second generation Red Sexlink...still makes him a crossbred though. He is nice!
