I guess it’s a bad thing I already am.. Ty!!Hello Kendall, and welcome to BYC!Glad you joined.
That chick is a Cornish Cross. I wouldn't get attached.
That's OK. You'll love him, and give a good life.I guess it’s a bad thing I already am.. Ty!!
I just got them today yet I already love them so much. That sounds weird because, yk, they’re chickens but it’s true. That's OK. You'll love him, and give a good life.
If they're not a sex linked or auto sexing breed you'll have to wait until 6-8 weeks. At that age you'll be wanting to look at comb development.Oh and one other question! How do I figure out the sex of my chicks? I know that all my Rhode Island reds are hens but I’m unsure about the others.
Ok!! If you don’t mind me asking what’s sex linked or auto sexing? I’m sorry I’m just all new to this!If they're not a sex linked or auto sexing breed you'll have to wait until 6-8 weeks. At that age you'll be wanting to look at comb development.
Basically they're just chickens that the males and females have different coloring. They can be sexed as just day olds!Ok!! If you don’t mind me asking what’s sex linked or auto sexing? I’m sorry I’m just all new to this!
Ah that makes sense!! Also one other question (sorry abt all of them I’m just really new to this) so what do I do with the Cornish cross? I only wanted good layers and I was given it by mistake and I really do not want to slaughter it eventually.Basically they're just chickens that the males and females have different coloring.
