Help Identifying Hen or Roo

First post here. I purchased two "Ameracauna" Chicks in May and they were doing fine until one started crowing. Purchased these as layers... by the time I went outside the crowing stopped. It is only one making noise, pretty sure they are mixed breed Easter Eggers.

I am surprised you have to ask... with that big of difference in redness. :p

But it's your white one that is a cockerel. The straight combed one appears to be female. You are correct that they are not pure Ameraucana, still lovely though. :D

Doesn't look like they have full saddles in yet, but as they start to develop this is what you will see...

I knew in my gut... but wanted to confirm as they are inseparable since bringing home from the feed store. They play well with our mature ISABrown and Wyandotte.

Are you able to try and keep him? Most birds raised together seem pretty inseparable... They do adjust quickly though if changes have to be made. :fl
