Hey gang, I've had chickens before but this is my first round of chicks. I ordered 25 "rainbow" layers plus an americauna and a maran from McMurray. All arrived healthy, but I have no clue what I got and the tiny pics on the website aren't doing it for me. Help appreciated!

A few of these (I can't always tell the black ones apart!)

I think this one is my bonus "rare" chick?

A few of these, which are smaller than the other black ones and have darker legs

And 5 of these, which are more yellow than the ones above, (which are more golden in color).

The second chick looks like a blue laced red wyandotte, the third chick looks like a barred Plymouth Rock, the gold chick looks like a buff Orpington, and the last one will probably be white, since it's so light yellow, breed is anybody's guess on that one though. Do any of them have anything else distinguishing that we can't see, like feathered legs?

have you looked at feathersite.com? they have all kinds of pics by breed with baby and adult chicks. They arent the little ones like the catalogs either. Hope this helps

Nope, nothing remarkable. No feathered legs or funny feet. I was thinking maybe leghorns?

Yeah, probably, that would give you your white for your "rainbow"!

What color are the legs on the ones that look like chipmunks? Me EE's look like chipmunks, they have greenish/grey legs. My Brown Leghorns look like chipmunks they have red/orange legs....

My black sex links are all black and my barred rocks are black with a white spot on the head adn a white butt..

My Rhode Island Reds look like the Auburn reddish chick

You can see yellow toes in the first pic of that chick, and it was the face that gave it away for me...here's a pic of one of my blrw chick's faces...it's not quite as close up as the OP's pic, but it's the same...

I am supposed to have to Easter Eggers and a Maran. I think they Maran might be blending in with the black ones, but how do I tell the EE apart?
