Help Identifying New Chicks

Hi all! I added some new chicks to my flock today, and was wondering if anyone could tell me what breeds they are. I was told that the black and white one is an Easter Egger but I’m not sure about the other two. I got the best pics I could at the time, but I will try to get better ones if they aren’t helpful. They were free from a friend who had some extras and asked if I wanted them. He told me they were hens but I was skeptical when I saw the combs.

They look like they both have single combs, and that usually indicates a non-blue egging gene. Conversely, there could be cream legbar genes in them that would cause a single comb with blue genes, but noting the absence of a crest, white earlobes, and barred feathers, I am going to guess that they have brown or white genetics. Also, not feathered feet so not a Marans, Cochin or Silkie. That leaves almost everything. Good luck!

Also, when their earlobes do come in, white usually means a white or blue eggshell, blue means silkie, red and white means green, olive, light brown or brown egger (usually), and red usually means brown. BTW, this is general, not specific

This would not at all be applicable to mixes and leads to more confusion. I honestly wish this would stop being spread because there is no genetic linking of earlobe and egg color. Red and white would not mean what you mentioned. I could write a book about this but I suggest reading about egg color and earlobe genetics

They look like barnyard mix cockerels… Not sure why a ”friend” would dump those on you
