Help IDing stray rooster?

Hello! It’s been what’s since I’ve posted, I think. This guy followed my car down the road yesterday, jumped two fences (from front yard to back, then from back to pasture), finally deciding to hang out with my little flock of six hens. We were expecting freezing temps and snow last night, so when he didn’t head out by dusk, I enticed him into my chicken run, and he spent the night with my girls in their cozy coop, safe, fed, watered, warm and dry.

We’re hoping he stays; no k e is reportedly missing a rooster or chickens near me. Any guesses as to breed? The gray feathers and the pattern are throwing me!

Agreed! Without knowing possible breeds, he really doesn't have any firm or distinguishing characteristics of any breeds

Thanks, @Tookie @Rhodebar Lover. That’s what I was thinking, too, just because of the green I see as well. I had a black barnyard mix rooster who looked similar, but without the gray.

He’s lucky to have found a nice flock with a nice chicken tender

Could be a male blue sexlink.

If there are no other chicken keepers close by who are missing a male then the poor fellow was probably dumped.
