HELP!! IDK WHAT TO DO! SOS!

Well after posting that I took a nap 😴 and tada 🎉 it’s hatched!!! Yay 😁 and another has peeped!
So my next question is how long do I leave those hatched and dry in the incubator?
I try not to take them out until they are totally dry, I have taken some out in a couple hours that were almost dry, I put them directly under a heat lamp in the brooder and they were fine.
I took them out a little early because I wanted to clean my incubator for Guinea eggs I had coming.

I generally take them out after an hour or more. The humidity spikes as they are all hatching and I have found it takes a very long time for them to dry completely. But after an hour they are usually most of the way dry. If they need to stay a little longer in there it is fine too!

I have left chicks in the incubator for hours, sometimes overnight. It just depends on how the hatch is going, how many, how crowded, etc. If it gets crowded and they are knocking other hatching eggs around I may move them. I try not to move single chicks, they get lonely and stressed. I try to wait until they are completely or almost completely dry and have managed to find their legs. If others are hatching you don't want to open the incubator too often or for too long so the hatching ones don't get shrink wrapped. They don't need food or water right away, so if in doubt, I would leave them in til dry unless there is a reason not to.

Thanks the first one is pretty dry new one still a bit wet I’ll take them both out in the morning put in the indoor brooder. Would it be okay to go ahead and put them in the outdoor brooder being it’s so warm now, it has a brooder heater too so wasn’t sure…

I have done both. In the summer here it's plenty warm in an outside brooder as long as they are not in the wind and will be protected from rain etc. I still give them supplemental heat the first 5 weeks. Make sure that your heat source is adequate for whatever your lowest ambient temperature is (overnight etc). Heat plates usually tell you what the lowest temp they can be in and give adequate heat. It really depends on your set up and what works for you.

Ok awesome that would definitely help me not worry with them inside bc my cat loves sleeping in the room when new babies are in the brooder but she’s never attempted to bother them just watches and chases my 6 lb poodle out lol last brood she slept with for 5 weeks and when I moved them outside to that brooder she would go lay next to it and sleep on top at night refusing to come in at night! 🤦🏽‍♀️ crazy cat

Ok so this morning just as day was breaking I came to check the broody hen none of her eggs have hatched so I ran inside got the two dry babies and placed them under her, one popped it’s head out and she lightly pecked it I pushed it further under her and since then I’ve heard her softly cooing and clucking is it possible she’ll except them?🙏🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 I’ll keep a watch if I see any sign she’s not happy with them I’ll take them out immediately and remove her eggs and close nesting area.
