Where did you get them from? Ditto that all pictured birds are cockerels.

I agree on Orpington mix (no idea of the mix myself, but I see the Orpington in them). Too bad you weren't trying to get roosters, the one with the head poof is pretty!

Very pretty! Maybe just get some more real hens from a hatchery? :)
 
Do a little research to make sure you know what the female chicks are supposed to look like, then pick up some red sex-link chicks from a feed store. Cheap, and odds are much better you'll be getting females. My favorite red sex-link is ISA Brown (but golden comet works too, and there's a number of others you could choose). 1 extra large egg every day per hen for 2 years, and mine started laying right at 20 weeks. Terminal cross, so I don't expect to breed from them, and they only live 2-4 years, but those eggs are awesome and the chicks are cheap!
