help !! Im new !!

Hey , So my girlfriend and I decided to do the country thing and raise chickens. I am building a chicken tractor and was wondering what kind of idea you migth have to share since you migth have more experince doing this type of thing, we are mainly doing this for a past time and to have some fresh eggs on a daily basis , my girlfriend bakes a lot and we are tired of buying store eggs. any input would be great , type of breeds and bulding suggestions or any other suggestion you migth have for a newby with chickens .

Leghorns and rhode island reds are good layers, but so are many other breeds. The breeds section here is a good place to learn about the breeds.

Visit the learning center tab and search for tractor ideas. For breeds, if you want lots of brown eggs, you'll need some production reds, gold comets, red star (all the same thing) and Dominique or Barred-rock, red or black sex-links, etc.
