Help! In need of another goose!

I lost one of my geese (almost positive it was an African) this week and now only have one left and it is in desperate need of a new friend. I am still not sure what happened to it. I have 22 ducks and had 2 geese. All the waterfowl had been to the pond. I was going down to the pond to check on them and when I went outside everyone was back up near the house. I started walking them back to the pond and started counting to make sure everyone was there and realized one of the geese was missing. I searched everywhere and there was no sign of the goose anywhere. No feathers, no sign of a struggle...it was as though the goose simply vanished. I am dumbfounded as this was the largest animal of the flock (it was just slightly bigger than the other goose). These were my first two geese and i am so sad one is now gone and I feel so bad for the remaining one. The remaining goose stays with the ducks but I think it is really missing its friend and I would like to get it another goose or two so it is with another of its own kind. I live in southeast AR and if anyone in the area (SE AR or NE LA) has any African geese I would love to purchase one or two.

I have a young pair in Tulsa (Oakhurst 74050) that I am concidering letting go of. They are about a year old, she layed over 100 eggs, first nest and second nest full she let freeze, the third nest the eggs were bad and stinking. After I got rid of the third nest she stopped laying for a week then made another nest, I took both eggs and she made yet another nest. She layed 1 egg and tended this lone egg constantly until a snake(?) got it, she is broken hearted. Did not help a pair of little ones came for a visit,,,, if this is within your range shoot me an offer for the pair.

Thank you so much for the offer but Tulsa is too far for me to travel to pick them up. Tulsa would be about an 8 hour drive one way for me. Bummer!

Have you looked on the Rehoming thread here or buy sell trade or "where am I where are you" thread and your home state?

I have looked through the rehoming thread and the buy sell thread with no luck but I didnt think to try the "where am I where are you" thread. I'll give that one a go too. Thanks Miss Lydia!

Have you tried Craigslist.com under farm+garden? Sometimes you can find geese there.

Also look for rescues in and around your area.
