Well Not to put a HUGE scare into you but the blood is coming from that Large vein, OUCH..

um... that's a huge scare! anything I can do?? does that mean it is probably still bleeding on the inside?? will a powder or something help? i only have cornstarch...

As long as it stopped when you applied pressure he'll be OK, now let me zoom in and find out what his delay is, I'm not seeing any sticky issues. But the next round I would like to see more shell off going Towards his beak. So if you look in the shell you'll see a LOT of empty space, go a head and remove all that but NOT yet, we have to give him Two hours to warm up.. I'll let you know when, Hopefully at that time, that large vein will shrink down.
