Help!!! Infected crop, how can i treat it!!!

My silkie has an infected crop. The other night her crop was really hard and it's small right now, this morning her crop is still very hard and still small. She is broody so I dont know if that takes any place in it.
The problem is were going on a small trip for the night and j have my cousin watching the chickens. What can she do to help her???

Her crop seemed a little but squishy but still hard so I think that's good? I massaged it a little bit and am going to have my cousin gently massage her crop while I'm gone. Shes eating and drinking so that's good?

Try taking some coconut oil, chill it in the refrigerator, and cutting it into tiny pieces for her to peck at. Then massage her crop several times daily, being careful not to make her choke on crop contents. In my experience, broody hens will have very slow crops that may remain full most of the time, since their bodies really slow down in metabolism to conserve energy while they are not eating and drinking a lot. If you do not want her to hatch eggs, I would remove her off the nest and break her broody spell. A dog crate with no bedding raised off the floor with a small 2x4 roost, and food and water can help break her in 3-5 days. Here is a good article about crop problems to read:

Will she be good until I get back sunday afternoon? I'm going to have my cousin massage her ceop until I get back to give her the coconut oi. I am going to do the crate thing when I get back.
