One of my ex-bat hens was out for her daily hour around the garden, When she ate a rubber band before i could get to it! It was red and she just eats everything that is red in colour. Do you think it will pass through? If so how long do you think it will take? I have check all the poo's in the house but not to be seen! She looks fine and has normal behavior today. If anyone has any suggestions please help!!!

Many Thanks

She should be ok- just keep an eye on her. Henrietta, my chicken, has eaten styrofoam insulation and those little plastic pellets from pellet guns
and has lived to tell the tale. When she ate the insulation I flipped and panicked and literally ran to my computer and searched 'insulation' here
on BYC and learned that chickens will eat all sorts of weird things and be ok. Of course we don't want them to eat weird stuff but when it can't be
avoided they are surprisingly resilient. So keep an eye on her, watch for listless behavior and keep us posted!

Thanks for your help. I was still paniking and it's day 2 now, no sign of anything and she seems happy enough and is still laying. I am new to keeping hens and this is the first real emergancy. This is a fantastic forum to be part of, although this is the first time i have posted i have gained so much knowledge from just reading others. Thanks again.
