Hey guys, I really need your help! This morning I was awoken by a screaming chick (Brooder is right by my bed) and I found my 8 month old kitten somehow got her paw in the cage and clipped one of my favorite pullets with her claws. I cleaned the wound with peroxide and put bag balm on it. However she is pecking at it... I have been watching her (excuse the pun) like a hawk and none of the other chicks are bothering it, just her.... What can I do to make her stop? it there anything else I can do to help her heal quickly? Picture below.... It is pretty swollen and I really really would appreciate any help or advice on what to do.

Thanks!

Um she should be fine on her own just make sure no other chicks bother her maybe clean the area, and just keep clean water around. If the swellin does not go down um maybe a hot cloth u can dab it. I would not put ice on it for sure. I had my rooster recently get his *** kicked so i had to poor warm tea on his head which removed the blood but also brought down the swelling or use a cream called "Mamisan" Its spanish name. but that help out my rooster's swelling. hope this helps

Ok Will do. The other chicks haven't messed with it, She is the only one that is messing with it... Not sure how to discourage that?

Is she pecking at it? scratching? u can always bandage it with a small bandaid. just cut it down so it can wrap around the shoulder and that way she cant get to it.
