I have a question about my little chick Lemonade she is about three weeks old and was in excellent health until about three days ago. She now has one red swollen foot that she limps on. Any ideas?

Is that mark a scratch/puncture in the last photo? What is she walking on in her brooder?
Does there seem to be a pocket of something that needs to be expelled?

You can try setting her in Epsom Salt/warm water (don't let her drink it- that's a laxative) to help draw any swelling out, and of course clean it all up really well, ointment like Neosporin (just the original variety, no "pain relief") and maybe wrap it.

I would wrap it if you feel like you can do it without making the wrap too tight. Vetwrap cut into narrow strips, and gauze for padding around the sore portion.

There are threads that say how much aspirin to add to water for chicks - I'm not sure of the dosage.

I don't think that it's a puncture. It might be a scratch but I'm pretty sure it was just something stuck to her foot. She is brooding in a nesting box with pine shavings.
