Help?! Injury to the back of a head.

I just got my new Cochin out of q-tine and introduced her to the other girls. Well they were fine. Had some scruffs but nothing serious. Well I went out to check them before the storm and Found her crowered down in the coop and quiet. I had hubby lift the part of hte coop near where she was and I pulled her out no fuss. Got to looking and found where the girls peaked at the back of her head. There is a whole in the skin but she is moving, breathing, and flapping when I lowered her. What can I do to help her heal? ( I might be doing something to distrurb the girls already in the run/coop and/or rehoming them as well I won't put up with them being mean to other hens.) I don't know who did it thou. Sigh. Any tips?

No, I rinsed it with nice warm water really well. It bled a little bit. It was just like the skin tore you could see the flap of skin. It is more on the neck right as it goes down from the head. Not past the muscles. I have her in a box in my garage ( warm). She is really quiet. In the morning I am going to check her and the wound while I feed and water her.

I gave a Silkie chick a bath while I had the sink going with chicken things. I got from a Hatchery some 8-9wk old chicks and well my Silkie was needing a bath due to poop. She let me blow dry her.

Tomorrow I when I check Big Momma ( my cochin who got hurt) my plan is. I will give her a bath in warm soapy water and blow dry her and put neosporin on it. I will keep her isolated until she is healed and I might be rehoming some Americaunas.

She survived the night. I will rinse her again with warm water and place some triple antibiotic cream on it to help with healing.

okay. i would just keep doing that but don't use hyrdrcin proxside because it eats the skin that needs to start growing back. i hope she gets beater soon

End of day and she finally ate and drank something. She also pooped right on my leg! I have the chicks ( 8-9 wk olds)in a kennel next to the box she is in so she can hear them. I had her out and was cleaning the babies area when she started bawking and I looked and she had happily found the chicken feed bucket where I hold the food to put into the feeders. She did try to peck at the babies heads and I let her assert herself to a point. My silkie named Suki is scared of her. ( Suki is a bantum)

This evening I again cleaned her head and put the stuff on it. She is ok but seems to be showing it is tender. Monday I will go to TSC and look for something to place in her water to boost her.

I am going to look and see if I can start a running updated thing on here to kind of log my progress and experiences with my chickens.

5 days since the incident and welp. She is doing good. She has taken my younger chicks under her and will care for them as if she hatched them herself. I am just thankful she pulled thru. Hoping to get photo's soon. Been pretty busy with a kiddo in school, rebuilding my coop, and dealing with a naughty dog who tries to get into the run. Thankful that my girls( and maybe guys) are not trying to fly out of the run. The fence is not that high and well I think after the ones I had first have learned that dogs are not cool.
