Help is my chick sick??

Hi I have four 3 week old chicks I notice one of them isn’t growing as much as the others & that she lays down a lot but she is eating and drinking don’t know if I’m overreacting or if it’s just the type of chickens that she is
Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated

She eats and drinks just a lil smaller and not as big & active as others

If it's alert it's fine..

Double check the exact temperature in your brooder...too hot can cause them to grow slower.
It can also kill.

I have had some chicks that have lagged behind other chicks from the same hatch. As long as it eats and drinks ok it should be ok. Just keep an eye on it. I gave mine some vitamin supplements such as Save-A-Chick. Tractor Supply carries it. Check the expiration date on the packets. I bought some last year that I found out after I got home was way expired.

Can you isolate her to make sure she's pooping?
And if so, is it normal poop? Is there blood in the poop?

Check the vent and make sure it's clear (i.e. no pasty butt).

Check the underside of her feet and make sure the pads look good and there's no sign of a problem there. Sometimes they get little poop balls that wad up in their feet- like having a stone in your shoe.

What feed are you giving them? Medicated or unmedicated starter?
