I have a Genesis 1588. I had it up to 99.5 then added my eggs. I did have the cover off for awhile while I placed the eggs in but it's been three hours and the temperature is only up to 92 my eggs are in there but I have only done this once before so I can't remember if it takes along time to get back up to the 99.5. Everything is preset on this incubator so I'm not sure what to do if I have to adjust the temperature. I don't want to lose this batch of eggs.
Thanks for your help.

If everything was set right before you put them in I would leave it alone. It should be good to go by morning. Consider it your first test of patience.

I hope you're right but this will be an expansive test since these eggs cost me $33 dollars for 12 (Serama). I hatched some button quail with no problem so this is my second time.

I have a different incubator than you but the directions with mine state that the temp. will drop when the eggs are placed inside and it may take a full 24 hours to get back up to the 99.5.
I think you're OK for now.

I'm so glad I decided to get the Dickey. It chugs up to temp in just a few minutes and reestablishes the humidy right along with it. It was so worth the extra for the lack of worry. I would have had heart attack if I was dealing with what you are going through. Hang in there. There are lots and lots of folks that swear by yours!
