I hatched a set of Red Sex Link eggs on 3/1. 13 of 15 hatched perfectly. Today, 3/3, I decided to get rid of the other 2. I cracked both eggs, 1 was not fertile and the other started bleeding. I felt the egg and it had a heart beat or movement. Well, I put some left over shells back on it and put it back in the incubator. I know I've heard of an undeveloped embryo w/heart before; just can't find the info now. Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks,
Tracey

The fact that it was bleeding leads me to believe it is still alive, and just needs some more time to "cook".

Make sure your humidity is up there, and leave it for a couple of days. I've done exactly what you did, and the chick was still alive.
Good luck!

Thanks. If it makes it, I'm gonna call it "Lucky".

good luck... just keep the humidity up, or it will "shrink wrap".
