Definitely a hen based off the plumage. Black Sexlink roosters are barred.

If it actually is a black sex link then I would say it's a pullet...

Its a cockerel. Its not a Black Sexlink though. I'd say its an Asia Black, maybe even just a crossbred.

Looks like an Asia Black cockerel - cockerel for sure.

I agree with the posts above. The comb is very big and red definitely showing that it is a cockerel. How old is your chicken?
He/She is very pretty!

You can also see that he has a larger tail compared to the hens. He also has saddle feathers. Very pretty though! I love it!

Thank you so much I got it in February and it looked identical to it's sister as a chick. We live in town so roosters are illegal, I don't want to get rid of my baby.

Looks like a rooster, based on the body shape and the tail, but Black Sex Link roosters have different patterns. Lovely chicken though.

Not a black sex link because its a cockerel. I wonder if its an Asian black, like mentioned above, or somebody bred their black sex links to each other and thought it would continue the sex linking. Where did you get him?
