Is this a Roo...supposed to be a hen...but had 2 long pointed tail feathers that the other ROO (that was supposed to be a hen) pulled out. The other Roo is a Leghorn and even though they are the same age the Leghorn looks fully matured already. The chick is supposed to be a Golden Sex Link (that is what it was listed as at the farm store)!

Red Sex Link
Gold Sex Link
Production Red
Red Star
Cinnamon Queen (the term i prefer)

All are different terms for those kind, but that there is a Cinnamon Queen Hen! She should lay an egg almost everyday for you! My Cinnamon Queen, RIP, laid me an egg almost everyday, she was my #1 layer!

ETA-Other names for that kind

So these are all names for the same kind of chicken? Do all the hatcheries just use a different name for a Rhode Island red roo over a Rhode Island white hen? It is very confusing for us newby chicken lovers!

I have a gold sex link from Ideal that looks just like this one. She had a couple long tail feathers that she lost at about 16 weeks. She is now 19 weeks old and just gave us her first egg yesterday.
