Help is this Newcastles Disease???

We have a Red Star hen just under a year old. This is the second day she has been rasping and occasionallly sneezing. She does this a couple of times a day, not all the time. She is laying, eating, drinking, and acting normal. No other symptoms. No others in the flock are showing any symptoms but I have been finding very thin shelled, rough eggs; I think they are from another hen, not her,I know where she lays. and I also think the thin shelled rough eggs are from just one hen. We are going to catch her and examine her in a bit, she is still ranging with the flock right now. If this is Newcastle/s would others be showing symptoms by now.? Please has anyone had any experience and/ or positive outcome from this disease? I am very worried.

Good luck! I do not have any experience with this one but I am sure someone will come that does. Did you google it? I know it is very serious--we had people come in and confiscate parrots at a shop where I worked because of it. Hugs!

Actually I have read that there can be different (I guess you could say degrees) of this disease, ranging from mild to severe. Seems to be the case with lots of chicken diseases. WE caught her and checked her out; she seems perfectly normal. Eyes bright, nose clear, nothing in her mouth or throat, no evidence of diarhea, weight normal to slightly obese, crop stuffed, acting normal, Her egg (I know where she layed) is normal. And I know it was her we caught because she has distinctive markings, but we checked out her sisters too and everyone was fine. So we let her go back to the flock. Hopefully maybe she was just inhaling dirt or something, I hope that's all it was. We'll see. And we'll get them going on some layer again, they've been off it for the winter.
