Help knowing the difference between a hen and rooster

Oh my goodness thank you they both did crow. I think when I got my shipment and they gave me two extra ones they gave me two Roos. Oh well, I guess I can give one to my son or to my neighbors that I shared my chicks with thank you very much.

Approximately 99% of the time when extra birds are provided in a shipment that you did not ask for they will be male heat packs. That is how hatcheries get rid of all of the males that nobody wants to purchase.

I really don’t wanna get rid of it either of them. They’re so beautiful and I’ve grown to love them. It’s almost 12 weeks but my friend lives three houses down and she’ll probably take it cause she does want more chickens.
