Could anyone please give me an idea of what this grey goo is from my duckling that just hatched?
I don’t want him to get a hernia and I’m very worried!! Should I cut it off?
I’m brand new at this.

dont cut it off, let it dry up. Keep the duckling away from the others so it doesnt get pecked at- keep it on dry soft bedding, such as paper towels or puppy traning pads.

The goo stuff is normal, all my ducklings hatch with it, I usually, being very careful, pull it off
