Help! Lavender Brahma chick sexing at 7-8 weeks

Hi all - I have 5 Brahma lavender and columbian lavender chicks that I need help sexing - they will be 8 weeks old this weekend - I am pretty sure at least 2 are roosters but any help would be greatly appreciated!

Chick 1 - rooster?

Chick 2 - also think this is a rooster but it has feathered out better than any of the others?

Chick 3 - hen?

Chick 4 - hen?

Chick 5 - ??? hopefully hen

Your guesses look mostly correct. Chicks 1 and 2 are cockerels while 3 and 4 are pullets. I'm afraid that 5 might be a cockerel because the comb is rather red, albeit small. Give him/her a little more time, though.

Thanks for some practice with sexing Brahmas!! I am considering getting a pair of Brahmas and want to be able to sex their chicks with those little pea combs!

Thanks for the reply! Of course 5 didn't show up - it is the one I am most unsure of as it seems in between...let me try uploading them again!

On 5, the comb is quite small but rather red, so it's a possible cockerel, but wait and see....

Thanks for your reply! I feel better about my guesses now - I have been raising Salmon Favs and they are color coded so much easier to tell . Good luck on your Brahmas if you decide to get some - they are beautiful birds!
