HELP: Limberneck, Gapeworm or Something Else?

I wanted to take the time to thank everyone who chimed in to offer advice/support. Adding the vitamins to the electrolyte and probiotic water really perked her up.

Yesterday she went almost an entire day without eating and barely drinking, so I strongly considered tube feeding, but did not want to since I am not experienced in doing that and did not want to harm her. I was successful in making her eat by mixing some scrambled eggs and wet feed into some plain yogurt and hand feeding into her mouth every time she opened up (she was not very pleased with this lol). This then made her want to drink of course, success!! She drank so much during this process and really perked up afterwards. (Sadly, this is when the neurological issues show up more prominently.)

After some more research I am now fairly confident that she does have botulism, see link below. I was not aware that neurological signs could be caused by botulism and that is why I was thinking it was something else (the head shaking made me think gapeworm, even though other symptoms didn’t fit, I was puzzled). The first video I shared only shows a mild episode. I will post another video for educational purposes in hopes this helps someone else out one day.

I will continue to focus on giving her the nutrients she needs to flush the toxins and recover. I know she will likely recover since she made it past the first two days, but I am not certain if she will recover from her neurological problems. I will continue to research that and see what I can find.

I wanted to share this information as I hope it can help someone else out one day. There have been so many useful posts/threads on this site that helped me tremendously treat some of my chickens before - just by reading through similar threads like this one.
