Help!!! Limping Quail

Last night I had someone band our quail, and when I fed them one was limping, and the band was too tight!! It cut into the leg, but it did not bleed. PLEASE HELP! THIS IS MY PET!!! WHAT SHOULD I DO???

What kind of band is it? If it's metal you might not be able to get it off while it's buried in the skin. I would take the bird to the vet if it's a metal band. They'll be able to remove it without much harm to the bird. If it's plastic there will be a small flap that you can gently pull off and you'll be able to check the wound for severity. One you get the band off you should clean the leg regularly if the band cut the it at all but otherwise the leg should heal just fine on it's own.
