today is day one of lock down period for my bantam chicken eggs. in order to raise the humidity we had to put the incubator outside, or it would stay at 40-50% no matter what. but now the temp is going AWOL! i went out there a few mins ago and it was 107 and earlier it was 90. how important is the humidity? will they be find if we bring the bator back inside to keep the temp regulated but to where the humidity is still 40-50%? HELP HURRY PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE!!!

Day one, you can still open your bator to put a nice big hand towel in there to raise the humidity. I keep my temps around 97 98 for lock down. I'm sure they got quite toasty in there at 107! They are older, will probably be ok, if, they weren't out there with it that hot for too long.
Go ahead, open it and put something in to bring the humidity up.

The temp needs to be stable, but so does the humidity. If you can get it up to 60 you should be good. Have you tied putting wet clothes, sponges, stones, or more cups of water? All of these should help,

ya ive tried wet cloths and bowls with water and a sponge

HEEEEEELP!

Do you think you are getting the right reading? Not sure of what type of bator you have, but do you have windows on top? Are they wet? You don't want them real wet. That means that there is a lot of humidity in there. Evaporation is happening from it being quite wet.
