ok so I had a lone cockerel that I rescued and he was so lonely. At first I put in stuffed animals, a mirror, and a feather duster and that seemed to solve the loneliness but as he grew he needed more interaction then what a mirror could give so after listening to him cry all night last night off to the feed store I go this morning to get him a friend. I picked the oldest chick I could since my little roo is about 7 weeks old or so now. But she’s still much younger then him. He wasn’t sure what to think and it wasn’t love at first sight like I hoped. All she wants to do is “dust bathe” in the towels and all he wants to do is display his crazy neck feathers and peck her tail and step on her.
What do I do from here to help them get along?
