Help! Looking for sand for coop/run!

We are almost done constructing our coop and I want to try using sand in the run. We’re having a hard time finding the washed construction grade sand. Does anyone know if any of the bagged sands at Lowe’s/Home Depot are ok to use for chickens?

Surely you have a local concrete and aggregate company. They will have the sand you need and will fill the back of a pickup truck or trailer for you. Just don't overload it.

I use bags of play sand that I buy at Lowe’s Just dump the bag and they will spread it. Fun to watch

As someone else mentioned, a local aggregate/concrete company, or try calling a local landscaping company. You can also try asking on your state thread and someone may be able to give you a local recommendation.

Yes, Home Depot sells sand in the construction department. This is a picture of the sand I prefer.
